LWRWC Holds Holiday Market Fundraiser
The Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club held their popular annual Holiday Market Charity Fundraiser on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the GROVE Restaurant Ballroom in Lakwood Ranch. With 225 women in attendance, attendees enjoyed a holiday bazaar where shopping was a delight, followed by a buffet lunch enhanced by the camaraderie of many friends, and an exciting raffle with 14 winners.
With over 40 vendor tables filled with artwork, crafts, jewelry, clothing, accessories, wallets, purses, and a host of unique products, this was a terrific opportunity to find perfect gifts and get holiday shopping done early. The LWRWC Blankets 4 Babies Committee sold beautiful handmade blankets and quilts to help subsidize the work they do to make and donate blankets to babies and children in need. To date, B4B has donated more than 665 blankets to charity

The Holiday Market raised $7500 that will benefit the LWRWC’s four 501(c)(3) local adopted charities, HOPE Family Services; SMART (Sarasota Manatee Association of Riding Therapy); SOLVE Maternity Homes; and Children’s Guardian Fund.
Holiday Market Co-Chairs, Diane Laybourn and Linda Stone, and their committee, coordinated the event. The Committee included Vendor Co-Chairs, Cheryl Breining and Helene Levin, Registration Co-Chairs Cathy Reinitz and Claudia Dombrow, Raffle Ticket Sales Chair, Regina Joly, and Raffle Ticket Sellers from SOLVE, HOPE, Children’s Guardian Fund, and SMART; Set-up/Takedown Committee, Ann Sledz, Pam Szabo, Gail deLeeuw, and Eileen Buzzard, and Event Photographer, Monika Templeman.
LWRWC Ladies Lunch at Seasons 52

On Monday, December 5, 2022, a group of more than 30 ladies from Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club (LWRWC) celebrated the holiday season in style with a festive luncheon at Seasons 52 at the UTC Mall in Sarasota.
The ladies enjoyed the lovely ambience of a beautifully decorated private room for their luncheon where they had plenty of time to socialize with longtime friends and get to know the delightful new members in attendance.
LWRWC Social Lunch Chairs, Molly Barrett, and Martha Wentworth, added an extra element of fun with a holiday trivia game complete with charming holiday gnome prizes. Board members in attendance highlighted coming activities and encouraged new members to get involved. Members celebrated the season with Fun, Friendship, and a Happy Holidays toast.
