Speakers:Sue Ann Miller, President, Board of Directors and Tiffany Mautino, Branch Supervisor, shared information and insights on the newest branch of the Manatee County Library System.

Key Points Discussed
Construction began in 2021, and the library officially opened in January 2024, attracting over 2,500 visitors on its very first day. The library has welcomed a total of 180,000 guests, and around 121,000 residents now hold library cards.
The library has hosted 994 events, which include classes, art exhibits, and showcases for local artists. It has also played a key role in supporting literacy programs throughout Manatee County.
A Book Mobile is set to launch in 2026, aimed at serving the eastern part of the county.
Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club has donated $500 since the library fundraising first began. The LWRWC name appears at the library entrance among other supporters.
