SPRING into FASHION

The Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club held its annual fashion show on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. “Spring into Fashion on the Ranch” raised over $21,000 to benefit the club’s four adopted charities.

Thirteen models (members of the club) strutted in style wearing fashions from Dillard’s at UTC, Sarasota. Commentary was written by Dillard’s Sales Manager, Andora Reynolds and delivered by Dillard’s Sales Manager Christy Curtin. JB Baxter from More than Music served as auctioneer as well as DJ.

Over 200 attendees enjoyed an extravagant Locked Treasures Raffle featuring four treasures valued between $700 to $1500; a silent auction with 49 items; a Live Auction featuring a five-night stay in a luxurious condominium in Breckenridge Colorado; and a “Good as Gold” fully loaded Golden Bar Cart. The Live Auction was followed by a gourmet lunch in the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club ballroom.

100% of net proceeds will benefit HOPE Family Services; Solve Maternity Homes, SMART (Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy) and Children’s Guardian Fund (CGF)!
In her welcome, LWRWC 2024 President, Linda Stone, expressed appreciation to all who contributed to the Fashion Show’s success.

Event Chair, Monika Templeman expressed her appreciation to the LWRWC Adopted Charities for proactively partnering with the club to make this event a success. She gave special thanks to Linda Stone for her unprecedented support and thanked the Fashion Show Committee for going above and beyond.

Monika thanked Registration Chair, MaryLee Danahy, Silent Auction Chair, Carol Belmont and the leadership team that included Wendy DeGirolamo, Terri Arnold, Ann Sledz, and Irene Shatz, who was responsible for the cultural donations, Locked Treasure Chests Chair, Regina Joly, Model Coordination Chair, Allyson Sokol, Finances Chairs, Barbara Stevenson and Kathleen Cleveland, and Event Photographer, Richard Scott Waid and his assistant, Cheryl, for doing a phenomenal job.

She expressed gratitude to the CEOs or their representatives of the adopted charities, Dawn Bryant for Char Young (HOPE), Peggy Kerwin (Solve), Mark Hiser (SMART), and Svetlana Ivanchenko (CGF), for going the extra mile by helping us sell Locked Treasures raffle tickets! She also thanked all the lovely models and our wonderful LWRWC members for their unprecedented support! Monika acknowledged that it takes a community to pull off an event of this magnitude and on behalf of the Women’s Club, expressed sincere appreciation for the overwhelming support from the local business community.
