A good book is a good friend.
February 19 at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall. We will read “Skylark” by Paula McLain. It is a tale of Paris above and below – where a woman’s quest for artistic freedom in 1664 intertwines with a doctor’s dangerous mission during the German occupation in the 1940s. Debbie Maggie Thomas will be our discussion leader.
On March 19, we will discuss “Wild Dark Shores” by Charlotte McConaghy. It is about the isolated Salt family, caretakers of a remote Antarctic seed bank, whose harsh existence is upended by a storm and the arrival of a mysterious shipwrecked woman, Rowan.
On April 16, we will discuss “The First Time I Saw You” by Laura Dave. It is the sequel to “The Last Thing He Told Me”, continuing the story of Hannah and her stepdaughter Bailey five years after Owen’s disappearance.
