Fashions on The Ranch Raises Over $20,000 

The ladies of Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club strutted for charity wearing stunning fashions from Darci in Sarasota at “Fashions on The Ranch” Charity Fundraiser. The Fashion Show, held at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club ballroom on October 13, 2021, raised over $20,000 to benefit LWRWC’s four adopted charities.

Over 175 attendees enjoyed a Locked Treasures Raffle, Wine Pull, Silent Auction with 43 items, gourmet lunch, and a fashion show that rocked thanks to JB Baxter from More than Music.
All proceeds will benefit Hope Family Services for victims of domestic violence; Solve Maternity Homes, helping pregnant woman in need, SMART (Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy) improving the lives of children and adults with therapeutic horseback riding programs,  and Children’s Guardian Fund that partners with the Guardian ad Litem Program.

 

In January 2021, LWRWC donated over $65,000 in cash and in-kind to their adopted charities, culminating a year of innovative contactless fundraising. “Fashions on The Ranch” was the Women’s Club’s first in-person charity fundraiser since the pandemic.

In her opening remarks, Event Chair, Monika Templeman, expressed sincere appreciation to the LWRWC Adopted Charities for proactively partnering with the club to make this event a success. She thanked the Fashion Show Committee and gave special thanks to Model Coordination and Decoration Chair, Allyson Sokol, Registration and Wine Pull Chair, Helene Levin, Wine Pull Co-Chair, Michelle Steine, Silent Auction Chair, Carol Belmont & her team that included Silent Auction Designer Wendy DeGirolamo, Ann Sledz, and Irene Shatz who was responsible for the cultural donations, Locked Treasure Chests Chairs Janet Dobbs and Regina Joly, Finances Chair, Kathleen Cleveland, and the Event Photography Team, Lynn Wolf and Karen Scollick.

Monika acknowledged that it takes a community to pull off an event of this magnitude and on behalf of the Women’s Club, expressed sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support from the local business community.
