Mission Statement

The Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club’s purpose is to create friendships and support among members of the Lakewood Ranch community by:

  • Presenting programs serving the interest of women today;
  • Contributing to civic responsibilities and charitable causes;
  • Fostering growth and friendship among our members.

We are a not-for-profit service club founded to improve the quality of life in our community.

Program Chairs Claudia Dombrow and Kathy Reinitz flank Nancy Johnson President of the Sarasota Geneaology Society at the March 2019 meeting.

The LWR Women’s Club meets monthly for a range of activities such as luncheons, sightseeing tours, movie nights, shopping expeditions, educational seminars, fund raising events, and business meetings.

Business meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of selected months at the Lakewood Ranch Town Hall, LWR Blvd, LWR.  Meetings include a social “meet and greet” and a program of interest to women today.

Members enjoy serving on committees for the planning and execution of our fund raising events such as: Fashion Shows,  Author’s Luncheons,  Bazaar – Boutique – Luncheons, Holiday Dinners and Auctions.  These events support the following charities: SMART (Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy), SOLVE Maternity Home, and  HOPE Family Services.
