LWRWC Gives Valentine to New Moms at SOLVE

by MONIKA TEMPLEMAN and EILEEN BUZZARD
On Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, the LWRWC Philanthropy Committee delivered 44 luxurious spa robes as a Valentine’s Day Gift to new moms at the SOLVE Maternity Homes in Bradenton, Florida. Inserted in each packaged robe was a heartfelt note from the Women’s Club to each new mom to “Wrap Yourself in Warmth and Love”.

During their visit to SOLVE, the ladies met some of the remarkable staff, volunteers, expectant and new moms and were very impressed with the wonderful work being done by SOLVE’s Executive Director, Peggy Kerwin, and her dedicated staff. One of the most touching moments was meeting a lovely new mother lovingly caring for her beautiful two-week old baby boy.

The visit included a tour of the well-designed, innovative Bradenton Maternity Homes. During the tour, the ladies witnessed firsthand the excellent structured program (offered free of charge) and the nurturing “family” environment that is so conducive to relationship building and personal growth.
