“A Passion for Fashion” Raises $13,000
The Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club’s Fashion Show Fundraiser Luncheon “A Passion for Fashion” was held at Michaels on East in Sarasota on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016. This very successful fundraiser netted over $13,000 for the LWRWC adopted charities. All proceeds will help support the critical needs of HOPE Family Services for victims of domestic violence, SOLVE Maternity Homes and SMART (Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy) to improve the lives of children and adults with physical, mental and emotional challenges.
With over 200 people in attendance, this event represented the fun, friendship and community service that signifies the Women’s Club. Classy J.McLaughlin fashions, a gourmet luncheon, elegant silent auction and exciting raffle prizes put the fun in fundraising.
LWRWC President, Shirley Taradash, opened the event with heartfelt thanks to all the Fashion Planning Committee including, Event Chairs, Sheron Benkert and Gail Ward, Registration Chairs, Jan Hasler and MaryLee Danahy, Fashion Show Advisor and Acknowledgement Signs designer, Monika Templeman, Decoration Chair, Kathy Delmonico, Raffle Chair, Elaine Steinfurth, Split-the-Pot Chair, Diane Kuna, and wonderful committee members, Diane Shaw and Jere Hanchak. She also thanked Jean Muccini for the programs, event photographers, Cheryl Breining and Pamela Kean and expressed her appreciation to all the individual sponsors, models and volunteers for making this such a successful event!
Models from the LWRWC and representatives from Hope, SMART and Solve rocked the runway in an array of stunning outfits from J.McLaughlin. Holly Bova, Gail Ward and Carole Lewis from, J.McLaughlin Sarasota, partnered with the WC on this gala fundraiser.
The models looked amazing courtesy of complimentary hair styling and make-up donated by Dolce Vita Salon LWR and the talents of Owner & Stylist Kim Bueby, Dolce Vita stylists Kelly Harmsen and Elena May and Jo Banks, Master Stylist and Independent Owner @ LWR Salon Lakewood Ranch/Bradenton/Sarasota.
