Pub Crawl 3/7/2018

LWRWC and All That Jazz

On Wednesday evening, March 7, 2018, Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club members, along with husbands and friends, joined the crowd of over 800 Jazz enthusiasts for the Jazz Club of Sarasota 20th Annual Jazz Trolley and Pub Crawl.

LWRWC Program Co-Chairs Cathy Reinitz and Claudia Dombrow coordinated the Pub Crawl

The participants met at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium Parking lot at 5:30pm. to pick up their wristbands and board the waiting Trolleys to the first destination of their choice.

Most opted for a dinner stop, followed by an exploration of the various musical venues participating in the Pub crawl.

The Hop-n, Hop-off trolleys ran from 5:30 to 10:30 PM and could be boarded at several designated stops during the “jazzy” evening.

The stops included: Salute Restaurant featuring Al Hixon, Amore featuring Skip Conkling & the Dixie Mix, The Coolinary where Debbie Keeton and David Pruyn performed, Fogartyville Café with Hot Club SRQ, Gator Club with Michael Pass and his band, Mandeville Beer Garden with Matt Bokulic, Z’s on Main with the talents of Tommy Goodman and the Starlite Café featuring Jazz Singer, Linda Baker and jazz musician, Eddie Tobin.

Throughout the night, the LWRWC participants greeted each other as they passed friends on the street or in the various pubs. At each venue, they experienced different styles of Jazz and enjoyed delicious food and/or drinks, and the camaraderie of friends and fellow music lovers.
