With the joy of giving on everyone’s mind, members and guests of the Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club were treated to a variety of unique holiday gifts to buy on Friday, October 27 at the Harvest Moon Festival Luncheon Fundraiser at the Polo Grill in LWR.
Thirty vendors offered a wide array of items for sale including: fine art, fiber art, artisan crafts, handcrafted jewelry, purses, clothing, children’s items, home décor, gourmet food, gadgets and holiday decor. This popular event has become a tradition in recent years to raise money for the WC’s adopted chartities: HOPE Family Services, SOLVE Maternity Homes, and SMART Riding Therapies.
A luncheon salad of mixed greens, pecans, and cranberries with choice of dressing was served with miniature kabobs of chicken and shrimp. Coffee and tea accompanied a lemon cake dessert topped with cream and blackberries.
LWRWC president Monika Templeman thanked event Chair, Elaine Shapiro and her committee “for a fabulous job and said their great organizational skills ensured a fun-filled and successful fundraiser for the club’s adopted charities.”
Decorations Chairs, Diane Nelson and Molly Barrett set the ambiance with a beautifully decorated Fete Ballroom enhanced by elegant pumpkin centerpieces that adorned each table.
Two door prizes were awarded by ticket draw and $800 was won in the “split the pot” raffle.
