IC Fashions at the Sarasota Yacht Club

Members and guests of the Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club viewed fashions from the IC collection of Dillards, UTC, on March 20 at the Sarasota Yacht Club. The show was commentated by Debbie Palmer, IC representative and personal shopper at Dillards. She was assisted by Cindy Neville, assistant manager at Dillards, Cathy Brand, the manager for Estee Lauder, and Trish Newman, program chair of the Women’s Club and event chair.

With an Alice in Wonderland theme, “IC Through the Looking Glass”, models moved among the attendees, wearing fashions from IC, Eileen Fisher, Tahari and others. They provided the guests with a look at the latest trends in casual, daytime and cocktail and evening wear.

The ladies lunched on their choice of Chicken Caprese, Grilled Bourbon Salmon, or Seasoned Vegetables with Tomato Coulis. Table centerpieces featured tall slim vases topped with red rimmed white roses and a funnky hat. Some tables sported teapots with roses and “Wonderland Cards”.

$20,000 Raised for Charity

Keeping with WC tradition, an extensive display of prizes were available for bid in the Chinese Auction and Silent Auction featuring items ranging from jewelry, clothing and accessories, a chauffer driven Rolls Royce, Gourmet foods, boat rides, and many more enticing items.

The Women’s Club generated nearly $20,000 for charity. The proceeds will go to three long standing charities served by the Women’s Club: Hope Family Services, serving victims of domestic abuse in Manatee County, Solve Maternity Homes of Sarasota and Manatee County, and SMART, the Sarasota-Manatee Association for Riding Therapy in Manatee County.
