LWRWC 2015 President, Patti Wrobel opened the delightful get together with a warm and welcoming message to all. Patti thanked the Board for hosting and providing the delectable brunch treats and gave a special thank you to the Hospitality Chairs for doing a wonderful job with the decorations and presentation. She encouraged the new member to socialize with each other and with the Board Officers and Committee Chairs in attendance. At last count, the Women’s Club has grown to approximately 330 members strong and is an excellent venue for meeting new friends and getting involved with LWR community.

While the ladies sipped coffee or tea and munched on an assortment of delicious brunch items, each of the Board members in attendance introduced themselves and gave a brief overview of their position, background and key information about the club and its activities, including highlights of key programs, activities and fundraising events and philanthropic community service, including the scholarship that the LWRWC will sponsor for a local high school senior girl in 2016. All the Board members in attendance also encouraged the new members to volunteer for activities and/or committees that interest them because they represent the Club’s future.

Patti next asked each new members to introduce herself and not surprisingly, several key commonalities were shared by all. Each new member joined the LWRWC because she was looking for friendship and fun with other like-minded women and most told that the idea of helping the community through meaningful philanthropy and supporting WC’s adopted charities was a major draw. The LWRWC is delighted to welcome an impressive group of women as members of the LWRWC “family”!
