Lunching on Cheesecake
On Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, LWRWC members enjoyed a terrific luncheon at the Cheesecake Factory located at UTC in Sarasota. Most members opted for healthy salads and entrees instead of calorie laden treats.
The fun and friendship was enhanced by sharing exciting and/or interesting summer activities and discovering many commonalities and mutual interests. Facts learned: that most members are dog lovers, enjoy travel and spending time with family, that several couples belong to upscale car clubs, and that all really like the fun, friendship and community service components of the LWRWC.
Although most members exhibited remarkable will-power by forgoing dessert, we all agreed that friendship is just sweet as cheesecake and the LWRWC Monthly Luncheons are a great way to make new friends.

A taste of Italy – No Passports Required
On Monday, August 3, 2015, ladies from LWRWC continued their virtual gourmet travels by sampling the delicious flavors of Italy at Valentino Pizzeria and Trattoria on Coopers Creek Blvd in Bradenton.
The ambience was warm and inviting and complemented the lighthearted mood as old and new friends gathered to “break bread.” Appropriately, our large table was adorned with baskets of delicious bread that we learned actually comes from NJ and is freshly baked in Florida.
The tempting menu featured traditional Italian dishes (including soups, salads, pastas, chicken or eggplant parmesan, chicken Marsala, to name a few) and the service was wonderful. We particularly appreciated that everything was authentic and made to order, making Valentino a great venue to enjoy fun, friendship and the taste of Italy.
