About Us

The Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club was founded in 1997 by a small group of Lakewood Ranch residents chaired by Elizabeth Norton. At that time, there were fewer than 500 homes built in Lakewood Ranch. Today, Lakewood Ranch has a population of over 15,000 and the Women’s Club has over 300 members.

Mission Statement

The Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club’s purpose is to create friendships and support among members of the Lakewood Ranch community by:

  • Presenting programs serving the interest of women today
  • Contributing to civic responsibilities and charitable causes
  • Fostering growth and friendship among our members.

We are a not-for-profit service club founded to improve the quality of life in our community.

The LWR Women’s Club meets monthly for a range of activities such as luncheons, sightseeing tours, movie nights, shopping expeditions, educational seminars, fund raising events, and business meetings.
